Frequently Asked Questions
What are your shipping policies?
Our shipping rate is $6.00 for Priority Mail. Once it is shipped, your sling should get to you in 2-4 days. If you prefer a faster shipping method, you can choose Express Mail for $21.00. Express Mail is overnight to most areas, but in some rural areas, can be 2 days. Email or call us if you have questions. Please note, that choosing Express Mail DOES NOT rush your order. Standard turnaround time (1-3 days) before your sling is shipped still applies. Shipping to Canada is $16.00 for Global Priority Mail, but does not include customs fees and GST which you may be charged when your sling is delivered.
What is your return policy?
We want you to love your sling as much as we do! Therefore, if not completely satisfied, you can return your sling within 30 days for a full refund of the original purchase price (not including shipping charges) or exchange as long as it has not been washed and is in new condition. If you are pregnant, please let us know your due date and you may return/exchange your sling within 30 days of your baby's birth date.
What are your payment methods?
We accept Visa and Mastercard through our SSL secured server or you can send us a money order or personal check. We also accept phone orders.
Do I have to pay shipping charges if I live in the Spokane, WA area?
No! Choose Spokane, WA under shipping methods in the checkout process and we will make arrangements to meet you to deliver your sling and show you how to use it (at no extra charge). We wish we could provide this service to all of our customers because we want you to get the full benefit of using a sling from birth to toddlerhood. If you need some help, give us a call (509-230-2499) or send us an email. Also, every sling comes with full instructions, including pictures, on how to use it. And the instructions from our website can be printed, as well.
How do I wash my sling?
Keep in mind that washing machines, detergents, and dryers shorten the life of all fabrics, so it is best to spot treat small things as much as possible. Be sure to rinse out all spit up and other spills. When necessary, wash in warm water in the washing machine. Make sure to unthread the tail from the rings before washing. Line dry the sling by hanging it up by the rings. Press with a hot iron if needed, being careful to avoid areas where there is padding, as they will melt flat if ironed.
Just what does Babymoon mean anyway?
After a wedding, everyone expects the new couple to take a honeymoon -- some time for themselves, especially after the hectic time leading up to the wedding. A Babymoon is the same idea: time alone as a new family after the birth of a baby. This is a common idea in other cultures around the world. Moms need time to adjust to breastfeeding, not being pregnant anymore, dealing with the events of childbirth (emotionally, mentally, and physically) and both parents need time to adjust to, well, being parents. We chose this as the name for our company because of the Babymoon we experienced after the birth of our daughter, Sidney. We spent most of a week in bed together as a family; watching movies, eating, and sleeping (although Sidney mostly did the latter two). We credit this time alone together as the reason breastfeeding and bonding got off to such a good start for us, especially after such a long and arduous labor. It was a very peaceful way to get to know our beautiful new baby girl. "In the sheltered simplicity of the first days after a baby is born, one sees again the magical sense of two people existing only for each other." -- Anne Morrow Lindbergh
